Frequently asked questions
Answers to common questions about FlyPay Nexus.
What payment methods do you support?
The platform is built for M-Pesa, Airtel Money, Mixx by Yas, HaloPesa, Visa/Mastercard and bank transfers. Right now all of these run in clearly labelled sandbox mode; each method goes live only after the corresponding provider agreement and credentials are in place.
Is the sandbox real money?
No. Sandbox transactions are simulated and are always labelled “Sandbox”. They never represent money collected and are kept separate from live balances.
How long does settlement take?
Settlement timing depends on each live provider agreement. Payout requests are reviewed and marked paid only once the transfer is confirmed, and you can track each request’s status in your dashboard.
Is there a setup fee?
No. Creating an account and testing in sandbox is free. Live pricing is shown on the Pricing page and agreed per merchant.
Can I issue refunds?
Yes. You can request full or partial refunds on successful payments. Refunds are reviewed and processed through the original provider, and your balance updates only after the provider confirms.
Do you support international payments?
Card payments via a licensed acquirer can accept international cards once live. Supported currencies include TZS, KES, UGX, RWF, USD, EUR and GBP, subject to each provider.
How is my data protected?
Passwords are hashed with scrypt, sessions use secure HTTP-only cookies, API keys are stored hashed, webhooks are signed, and card numbers are never collected by our servers. See our Security page for details and current limitations.
Do I need a developer?
No. Payment links, storefronts and invoices work from the dashboard. Developers can use the REST API and webhooks for deeper integration.
